Welcome to Big Pretty Wharf Mats - from the deep, to my dock, to your door. Durable and decorative, totally woven from recycled crab pot lines, made on the docks of Sausalito.

When I saw all these huge piles of lines that were bound for the landfill I wanted to make some use of them. I took them home and I experimented with building different looms, with trial and error allowing me to find the right materials to work with different size lines. I first untangle them, then carefully powerwash all the lines I use and wash them then again when each mat is completed.

I am so pleased with the feedback from friends and neighbors and proud that my mats have already been purchased and are being used at the doors of houseboats and homes around Sausalito and beyond. Not only are they being purchasing for themselves but they are being as gifts.
