Scented Designs has been a huge part of my life for many years now, and while it’s bittersweet to step back, your words have reminded me just how special this community is—and that's not going away.

Big Changes at Scented Designs 💛

Hey candle lovers, it’s been a little quiet over here! After a busy holiday season, we took some much-needed time to rest, recover, and figure out what’s next for Scented Designs.

The short version? We’ve made the difficult decision to put an indefinite pause on our candle-making for personal reasons. We’re not sure what the future holds—maybe we’ll be back later this year on a smaller scale, but we can’t make any promises right now.

If you’d like to stock up on our hand-poured candles one last time, we’re accepting final orders through March 3.

That said, this isn’t goodbye.

I (Kate, SD founder!) still plan on sticking around and staying in touch with this incredible community of small business owners, supporters, and friends. The connections we’ve built mean so much, and I’m excited to see where the road leads next (more on that soon!).

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting this small business. Whether you’ve been here since the early days or just discovered us, we’ve loved creating candles that bring joy to your space. 💛

Bay Area, folks! Mark your calendar for our favorite market of the year!

Step into Germany for a day and enjoy this seasonal celebration! The German Holiday Market (Weihnachtsmarkt) is a family-friendly, free event returning once again to Mountain View City Hall Plaza.

Shop for unique gifts while supporting local artisans like Scented Designs Candle Co. - you'll find our booth in the same spot as last year, right outside of the main plaza.

GISSV will offer ornaments, books, and sweet treats of the season such as Stollen, and Lebkuchen (gingerbread) imported from Germany.

Parents, students, teachers, staff, alumni, and friends of German International School of Silicon Valley (GISSV) volunteer to recreate the festive atmosphere of a traditional open-air, German-style winter market in downtown Mountain View.

Enjoy traditional German sausages and pretzels or Schnitzel and warm up with a mug of Glühwein (warm mulled wine), the hallmark of these winter markets.

The German Holiday Market offers plenty of activities for the entire family, including live performances, carnival games, arts and crafts, rides, a petting zoo, and an opportunity to meet up with Santa!

This event raises funds for the German International School of Silicon Valley, a nonprofit preschool through Grade 12 bilingual school with campuses in Mountain View and San Francisco.
