What does it take to upgrade a 24/7 wastewater facility while keeping it fully operational? 💧⬇️

We’re proud to share the completion of several key improvements across the Kansas River Wastewater Treatment Plant for the City of Lawrence, Kansas - Municipal Government, delivered in collaboration with Black & Veatch!

This marks the city’s first CMAR-delivered wastewater project, upgrading a plant that treats ~8 million gallons daily. The result? A modernized facility that replaces aging infrastructure, improves reliability, and helps the city meet current and future KDHE water quality requirements!

This month, in partnership with the United Way of Lamar County, we had the opportunity to give back to the Paris, Texas community by donating box fans to help local residents stay safe and more comfortable during the summer heat.

In Texas, access to cooling is not always guaranteed. While most households have air conditioning, reliable relief can still be out of reach, especially for families facing high utility costs. As temperatures continue to rise, something as simple as a fan can make a meaningful difference. It can provide relief, improve comfort and help protect vulnerable neighbors during extreme heat.

McCarthy is proud to serve as the builder on the expansion and renovation of the current full-service hospital, adding patient capacity, expanded surgery services, new dining and kitchen support space, and a fully renovated Emergency Department to better serve local patients and families in the years ahead.

When Dan Stokes looks at a jobsite, he sees a challenge worth figuring out. Inspired by watching his father create detailed structural drawings by hand, that problem-solving mindset started early, and it still drives the way Dan approaches complex industrial work today.

As a project manager on McCarthy’s Industrial team, Dan is currently helping lead two Metropolitan Sewer District of St. Louis projects that are upgrading outdated wastewater infrastructure. He’s also part of McCarthy’s self-perform planning group, helping standardize how industrial projects are executed as the team continues to grow.

In our latest Partner Perspectives profile, Dan shares how his focus on efficiency, field data and doing the work the right way is helping position McCarthy’s Industrial team for what’s next.

Birdies for breast cancer! We were proud to host our Southern Region's annual Lone Star Scramble at Texas Rangers Golf Club, bringing together trade partners, clients, architects and engineers for a great day on the course in support of an even greater cause.

More than a golf tournament, this event reflects what matters most to us: building strong relationships, showing up for our community and giving back in meaningful ways. Proceeds benefit Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation and breast cancer research, helping support care and resources that impact so many women and families across our region.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us, helped make the day memorable and continues to be a valued partner on and off the jobsite.
