Canning . Pressure canned green beans with bacon and onion, and pickles beets. A lid buckled in the pot and flew off while pressure canning ! What a mess to clean up . Oh and boy let me tell you that was so time consuming. Whooo it took so long. The first batch I tried to blanch and put in cold water, it only worked on the red beets. Second back I peeled by hand and these beets were all the size quart to half dollar size. Never again next time I will just use big beets and cut them the size I want.
