No-waste gardening is very easy to accomplish. Just save the scraps and seeds after cutting up your produce. The scraps get added to a compost system, the seeds can be thoroughly washed and dried for future gardening (and handing out to others!) and the food gets enjoyed 😊

I keep this stainless steel compost bin in my kitchen to collect the scraps for composting. It has a charcoal lid to absorb any smells. Once it is full, it gets added to compost bin with lots of browns.

Cooking up some fresh cowpeas for dinner tonight. They will be boiled for about an hour then will have some seasonings added.
I usually prepare them from dried cowpeas, but I was needing some garden space so I picked them before they had time to dry out.

Happy bok choy boy!
This year, we grew baby bok choy. They were bountiful and ready to harvest within 60 days. They are pretty enough to just grow as ornamentals also!!

My little munchkin picked a variety of greens for dinner tonight. Curly leaf kale, swiss chard, mustard greens and red mustard greens. Gonna saute it all with some grains and lentils and drizzle with lemon vinegar.

Ohhhh man my plants are going to be so HAPPY!
Freshly brewed vermicompost tea (aka worm p**p tea 😆). This is some of the best organic plant food and it is so affordable! Just takes a bit of worm lovin' and patience but well worth it!
This time, I dabbled with a new recipe. If it works well, I will be blogging about it soon!
