INVENTORIES! This is one of our favorite services that we offer. There’s no better way to understand your urban tree canopy, then to know exactly what trees you have. Once an inventory is complete, you can then prescribe the proper pruning and health care plans necessary to keep the trees healthy and mitigate risk.

When assessing a trees risk, it’s not always the completely dead trees that are dangerous. This tree for example had no dead foliage whatsoever. But the decay in this primary scaffold limb is quite severe. While this tree is not directly near a building or pedestrian area, it could still pose a significant risk of injury or damage during a storm.

If you’re in doubt or have concerns, it’s always best to hire a certified Arborist to assess your trees health.

As the storm and heavy winds approach, please be careful and heed all safety protocols recommended.

⚠️ Here are a few tree care safety tips ⚠️

Pre-Storm

- Remove any dead or dying limbs from your trees
- Ensure that you’ve had a certified Arborist inspect your trees for any weak branch unions and perform any necessary pruning
- Remove any dead Palm fronds and seed pods
- Remove any dead trees from around your home or in an area where they could be a threat to people or property

Post-Storm

- If any tree limbs or trees have fallen and interfere with power lines, stay clear and do not touch any part of the tree!
- If any trees or limbs have fallen on your home or building, do not try to remove them unless trained or hire a certified Arborist
- Thoroughly document any damage to property
- Be cautious of any leaning or uprooted trees and do not walk around or under them as they could be severely weakened and continue to fall over
