It's been a while since I've shared here...sometimes the quiet seasons are the most meaningful.⁠

Fall has always been my most favorite time on the ranch - the air softens, the light shifts, and everything seems to whisper slow down. Before the harvest comes the tending - the planting, cultivating, and trusting the process.⁠

It's much like design. Every project begins as a seed of an idea, nurtured through stories, memories, and meaning, until it grows into something deeply personal and lasting.⁠

This season reminds me to find beauty in the in-between - the patience before the bloom, the peace in the process, and the joy in seeing it all come to life.🤎

Our hearts are with all those affected by the California wildfires, including the families, communities, and small businesses facing immense challenges. To our incredible vendors and artisans, your resilience inspires us, and we are holding you close during this difficult time. 💔

Today, we also pause to reflect on the 7-year anniversary of the devastating debris flow in Montecito. This day reminds us of the strength and spirit of this incredible community. Our thoughts are with all who were impacted and who continue to heal.

As we navigate these moments of hardship, let us remember the power of coming together as a community, supporting one another, and finding hope even in the hardest times. If you can, consider supporting local businesses and relief efforts for those in need. ❤️

It’s the simple things that bring the most joy. Last night’s bonfire under a starry sky full of love and laughter, stories old and new, full hearts! Wishing you all the same during this holiday season and into the New Year!

This morning the light made me pause and grab my phone to snap a picture of the oak in our backyard. I felt grateful for being home after a busy weekend and a moment of calmness before the hustle and prep begins for the next few days. As I turned and walked back in the house I realized what day it was, and quickly knew it wasn’t just a pause in my morning, it was dad reminding me he is still here. He transplanted our little oak that continues to grow bigger and stronger every year. This time of year brings joy and festivity, and for many a missing person at the table. This is your reminder they are still here, their love continues to grow. Take your moment, and then celebrate a the little things that make this life magical!

Historical details make my heart sing and Santa Barbara is full of them! This bell is on the exterior patio wall of a current project we are working on and I’m so intrigued about what it was used for. I’m thinking it was for service, it is one of multiple bells on the property.
