Yarrow leaves re-emerging in the spring warmth 🌿
A hardy perennial, yarrow is low maintenance in the garden. In fact, Richo Cech of Strictly Medicinal Seeds recommends planting it in poor soil and watering it infrequently.
Yarrow tolerates drought, bitter winters, and blazing summer temperatures. It prefers full sun and well-drained soils. Space plants 1 foot (0.3 m) apart, as they will soon form a dense, spreading mat of feathery leaves.
Yarrow’s healing specialty is for all manner of bleeding. Its leaves are indicated for a wide range of internal and external blood-based afflictions, including wounds, nosebleeds, high blood pressure, circulatory stagnation, postpartum hemorrhage, miscarriage, and heavy me**es. Yarrow is the first herb I turn to for deep cuts and profuse bleeding of any kind.
We feature Yarrow in our Online Herbal Immersion. Come receive our personal guidance on identifying, growing, gathering, preparing, and using this classic medicinal.
