Shortly after returning from an art & poetry residency in Greece I was one of three poets to read at an annual reading hosted by David Starkey, poet, publisher, TV host and more.
Two days later David interviewed me for the Creative Community.
See the link below if you are interested in our dialogue, my paintings and a few poems too!

My solo exhibition, “An Alliance of Energies”
At the Ionion Center for the Arts and Culture, in Metaxata, Kefalonia, Greece May 2023
It was interesting how the art echoed the landscape and seascapes of the area, even paintings I made prior to arrival.
Thanks to Sophie, director of the Ionion Center for welcoming me to this residency for arts and poetry! One month gave me an opportunity to live and work with other professionals in their creative fields.
The last photo is of Nicholas Skaldetvind and I reading our poetry while Nerissa responded with modern dance!

Here in Kefalonia, Greece, on a month long Art/Poetry residency at the Ionion Center for the Arts and Culture, we’ve been busy!
This Monday I’ll be in a collaborative performance at the Municipal Theater Kafalos, in Argostoli, with two talented residents, Nerissa Tunnessen & Nicholas Skaldetvind.
Being in the lands of ancient culture is enlivening our creativity. The Ionion Sea is generous in spirit.
On Wednesday the 24th I’ll also have an exhibition at the Ionion Center in Metaxata, Kefalonia.
If you’re in Greece, we hope to see you!

Recently, I was asked to write a review of the Joan Mitchell Retrospective at SFMOMA for Abstract Art Magazine TV.
The show stirred me, so I was compelled to engage with it further through writing.
Thanks to JL Jacobs & John L. Stanizzi for publishing my piece in their award winning literary magazine!
The retrospective is currently at the Baltimore Museum of Art.

This video affirming...
Art is not an object, it's an experience. -Josef Albers
I am moved by and value the creative seeing of color. We see through our own experience, and have a unique response.
Thanks for David Zwirner Gallery for this video!

David Zwirner is pleased to present Primary Colors, an exhibition of work by Josef Albers (1888–1976). On view at the gallery’s Hong Kong location, this will be the first solo presentation of Albers’s work in Greater China.
