In this short video update you'll see the exterior rigid insulation, exterior lath prepped for stucco, insulated framing and blown-in fiber glass insulation, interior dry wall hung and taped, and the exterior color coated stucco.

You’ve never heard of Rob Gibbs Construction because there’s never been one.

We’re excited about making progress on this accessory dwelling unit (ADU). Here, the contractor is preparing the subgrade by tamping down the soil to prepare for the footings. The soil has to meet certain requirements first. Then, it will be tested with a probing device that measures how well the soil is compacted–meaning it should be hard as a rock–and has to pass a 95% rate or better. The soil also has to be analyzed for what the soil is made up of, like sand, decomposed granite, clay, etc., to ensure a sound foundation.
