Floated (☔️) back home today from the Homestead Festival in Columbia, TN. Always a great weekend of learning and fellowship with like-minded people. Ended this morning with a great time of worship. Shout out to our farm buddies Stanfield Farms and Ryan Stephens for keeping the animals fed and cared for so we could get away. Now it is time to go nerd-out about soil health!!! 🤓

Only the best Appalachian engineering here on Dewey Acres. The 50 year old trailer was once a pop up camper. Add an IBC tote, 50 gal. water trough, modified Jobe Megaflow and some plumbing parts, you get a water wagon. The cattle were not sure what to think, but now they seem to like it just fine.

Today I am thinking about MawMaw Doris (Aaron’s grandmother who taught me about gardening) and what she used to say, “I’ve got more to do than I can say grace over”. I feel that today….all this rain has me way, way, way further behind in my gardening than I would like to be. But I am equally remembering just how blessed I am to have all those things to do.
