⛈️-Marginal risk for severe t-storms today-⛈️

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop ahead of a cold front/clipper like system this afternoon in the eastern Dakotas/northwestern Minnesota. Movement will be to the southeast. Dry air and limited instability will work against these storms. If any can develop, they could produce small hail and gusty winds.

Higher potential will be in northwest Minnesota into eastern North Dakota. Chances will drop as you move southeast.

Timing will be from 4pm and ending before midnight tonight.

Yesterday was supposed to be a fun, family friendly day with a parade in the morning then fireworks to bring the night to an end....but someone made poor decisions, leading to a head on collision that was so violent that the victims had to be extricated from the vehicles.

Please think before you get behind the wheel after consuming alcoholic beverages. One stupid decision can cost you your freedom and/or life...along with innocent people around you.

⛈️🌧Rain chances return for Monday🌧⛈️

Dry today, but chances for rain Monday afternoon into earlyTuesday, Wednesday into Thursday, and near the end of the week. The best overall chance is Wednesday into Thursday.

Monday- rain chances will increase in the afternoon as we see a weak disturbance move in. This will provide just enough lift to produce some rain and maybe a few isolated thunderstorms. The challenge for rain will be a substantial dry layer in the low levels of airmass. Limited instability and dry air will make it hard to say exactly where precip will fall and where it wont. Rainfall totals will generally under 0.10"...areas that experience thunderstorms could see up to 0.25" of rainfall.

Auroras could become visible tonight for some of us. G1-G2 (Minor-Moderate) storm levels are possible tonight due to enhanced solar winds and the passage of CMEs that left the Sun on June 9th & 11th. Clouds will likely cause visibility issues but there could be some breaks....especially towards Sunday morning sunrise.

🧨🎇🎆Sartell SummerFest fireworks forcast🎆🎇🧨

Tonight, fireworks for Sartell's SummerFest event are scheduled for around 10pm... We will have near ideal conditions but it'll be a tad cool with northwest wind of 10 to 15mph. Air temps will be around 60°F with dew points in the low 50s. Cloud cover should decrease but some cloud cover does look likely...especially to the north of us.

If you are going to be attending the fireworks, enjoy them!!! They should be pretty awesome!

[06/12] 455pm FRI•Current radar-

Happy Friday everyone!!! This week was longgg..
We will continue to see a mix of sun and clouds this afternoon/evening across the area. There is a weak surface boundary that's currently sitting across the northern half of Minnesota. South of that, we will see some isolated showers and thunderstorms develop....The main area that will likely see these hit or miss storms will be from Montevideo to the Twin Cities metro area. Development is already occurring in eastern South Dakota and that trend should continue east into parts of central Minnesota over the next few hours. At around sunset, they should begin dissipate. Outflow boundaries could keep producing development into late tonight but that should be even more isolated. Development on Outflow boundaries is to predict.

Other than that, not much in the way of precip this weekend. Temps will be below average with highs in the low 70s with mostly sunny skies.
