🎨🍂 A little note as we head toward the Christmas season! 🍂🎄
First, to my long-term seasonal/yearly clients — keep an eye on your messages! ❤️ I’ll be reaching out to you personally before I open any remaining Christmas availability to the public. My returning seasonal clients will receive first priority for holiday dates.
If you’re newer to Butterfly Brushworks and already on my books for a fall painting, you may want to consider choosing something with a mix of fall and winter elements so your windows can carry you through the Christmas season as well.
My Christmas availability is going to be extremely limited this year. I only paint on Saturdays and Sundays, full-coverage windows take an entire weekend, I have to leave room for rain and bad weather, and I’ll also be out of town November 20–29. Because of that, I may simply not have enough Christmas openings for everyone who wants one, and I won’t be able to take last-minute holiday clients.
Another option is checking out some of the other amazing local window artists in our area! On Facebook, try searching things like “Gulf Coast window art” or “window painting in Mississippi.” I know there are at least a few talented artists who should pop up. ❤️
To me, the art world isn’t about competition. It’s about artists working alongside one another, developing our own styles, supporting each other, and making the world a little more beautiful — regardless of whose paintbrush created it.
When I pass someone else’s artwork on the side of the road, my first thought is never, “I could have done that better,” or to point out what I would have done differently. I see another artist who put a piece of themselves out into the world. All art has its own beauty, and artists should lift each other up — not tear each other down. 🦋🎨
