This new deck was designed to include a main rear entrance to the house that wraps around and opens up to an expanded living space using Trex Transcend decking and railing.

Before and after of a main entrance for a house that is currently being remodeled to a single family residence. We included a private sitting area attached to the main porch. The western red cedar decking, posts and trim complete this inviting entrance.

This deck was supposed to be a simple decking upgrade but turned into a total rebuild from the ground up after extensive rot was found. The gazebo was also supposed to stay but a new built in was designed to be more accommodating with a more cohesive look. (The roof and screening will be completed at a later date).
We also updated the front entrance and enlarged the treads for a more comfortable stride.

We built this gorgeous deck over a 100 yr old slate stone patio that had seen better days. Here are some after and before photos showing how a well planned deck can enhance a beautiful old homestead with added living space without detracting from the original character of the home. The decking and privacy wall lend themselves seamlessly to the existing space and become an extension of the home. Complimented by gorgeous furnishings and subtle lighting….
