🎼 Sunday fun day, better than a Monday! 🎶 🤪
Yesterday I spent the majority of the day cleaning and moving decor around, while stovetop potpourri filled the house with amazing-ness. It was a good day. The best part was when my husband looked around and asked if he could add something. I (reluctantly) agreed, and now we have found the perfect spot for one of his Harry Potter books. 😄🤌🏻
Also, I’m trying to shop for a foyer light. I found one I am vibing with (swipe), but that price 😩😩😩😩. Let me know if you see a dupe somewhere? Help a girl out! TIA 😘

Acceptance is a beautiful thing! 🖤
I’ve learned a few things over the years when it comes to decorating my home and sharing my decor decisions with others- either in my personal life or via social media. I’ve found that I circle back to these ideas and that reminding myself of these things helps me to enjoy my home, no matter what.
• It’s ok to work with what you have, and/or to save for what you want.
• Wanting to express your design ideas makes you ✨creative✨, not materialistic.
• There may be good design rules to follow, however there isn’t “right or wrong” in home decorating, as long as you love what you’ve done.
• Gaining inspiration from others is a beautiful, natural thing. If someone has inspired what you’ve done- that’s a compliment to them! (It’s also awesome to tell them so!)
• Working in stages is most times essential when decorating on a budget, and everyone’s budget is different. That’s ok!
• Comparison is the killer of joy! This is a big one. Embracing what you have and the journey you have ahead of you is part of experiencing life.
• Creativity can come and go and has nothing to do with ability. Take the necessary breaks and don’t stress it.

Starting to see some progress in the new house and I felt like sharing. 😊 It’s been a while since I’ve been actively involved with my design accounts… I missed this. Here is our foyer, filled with many DIY projects. The lamp, the table, the art… 🤌🏻🖤 I love the feeling of home.
