Plants have not been the only thing growing this season. I'm expecting my first grandson on the 20th. I'm super excited and just can't hardly wait. I have gotten through all the special orders and have two waiting pickup. Thank you all for your support. I haven't posted anything new till I got caught up and now I want to be available to watch my granddaughter while mom and dad are at the hospital. I hope you're having a great growing season.

The gardening year is moving right along. Plants are growing right before my eyes and new blooms are opening by the day. I have enjoyed the spring daffodils, hyacinth and tulips along with the early flowering shrubs and trees. I'm anxously waiting for the longer, warmer days. Soon the iris will be bursting open and the long awaited lilacs will be filling the air with their fragrance that takes me back in time. I've been busy sowing seeds, creating hanging baskets and containers. The pollinators have also been very busy. I will be posting plants that are ready for your vegetable gardens and flower borders soon along with a plant of the week.

I will certainly miss these charming dahlias this winter. The tubers will be dug up and stored for next spring, seeds will be collected and a beautiful bouquet will be arranged for indoors. As I lift the tubers they will be replaced with stunning Pink Impression tulip bulbs.

44 - Foxglove plants available for $7.00 each. First year plants in gallon size containers
Uniquely eye-catching plant, tall, with tubular blooms, often with colorful speckles. It is a fast-growing plant
that generally flowers in its second season before dying.
In its first year, the plant produces only a basal clump of foliage, but in its second year, the plant sends forth
2 to 5 foot tall stalks lined with beautiful funnel-shaped pink, white, or purple flowers with white or purple spots lining the throats.
Foxgloves freely self-seed, creating a sustained patch that produces flowers every year.
2-5 feet tall and 2 feet wide
Space them about 2 feet apart.
Stake the taller types to prevent
them from flopping over in a
wind storm.
Toxic to humans and pets.
