Sending you all a belated happy New Year! This sunny weather has us reminiscing about a cold sunny day in March 2023 we spent placing the first of the many boulders at South Park Pump station. Here's one of the monsters being craned into anchor the stepped stone seats facing the water. We really bonded with the Prospect Construction team and Specialized Landscape over these rocks!

Snooping around two muddy project sites yesterday. We are having fun figuring out stormwater and expanding access to Lake Union with on both of them!

Good Turn Park aka E Martin Street End is getting improvements to repair the muddy street edge and create an accessible route to seating by the water thanks to & the community council.

Just across the street, we helped design a public staircase with storm planters cascading down the hill to treat water off the I5 bridge in conjunction with the multifamily project with for Shilshole Development.

One bike ride & two KKLA projects, right around the corner from each other. King Street Flats completed this year with BUILD LLC. Modera Jackson now has mature shrubs out front and a thriving ebike shop on the 18th side (highly recommend!).

Sneaking blueberries into the public plaza at the Colina Apartments on Beacon Hill was one of the many pleasures of working for Pacific Housing NW alongside . Their commitment to the public realm shines through. (Here's a KKLA kid enjoying the bounty in summer 2022!)

The Outdoor Library project for Friends of the Winthrop Library (FOWL!) was a true collaboration with fabulous local architect , KKLA, and the community to create a native demonstration garden all while dealing with that tricky beast called snow removal. We can't wait to watch this grow up! (And the building by Johnston Architects and PBW is a treasure.) Photos from this July.
