Fort Lauderdale is why the Bermuda Triangle exists. đŠī¸
On December 5, 1945, five U.S. Navy planes took off from Naval
Air Station Fort Lauderdale for a routine training flight. They
never came back.
The Navy launched a search plane. That one exploded.
All six aircraft, 27 men, vanished. No wreckage has ever been
found. Not in 1945, not in the 80 years since.
That one day â that one takeoff from OUR coast â became the
foundational event for the entire Bermuda Triangle myth. Every
documentary, podcast, and ghost story since traces back to here.
