Usually our native pinxter azalea is pink, but this beauty is a nice light purple with a white blotch. This is the J. D. Bell Pinxter. This is Tropical Tetra, a selection by Clarence Towe and Ron Miller from a wild population of azaleas. Several years ago, I planted seeds from this plant, and now have a collection of 7 gallon plants that are in the 5-6 foot range. The week of June 1st will be our last week of shipping native azaleas for this spring. We will be shipping conifers until June 15. Our fall shipping season will start in late September/early October, depending on the weather.
