Beautiful Saturday morning to you all! been out early trying to beat the heat today! building a chicken gate for our larger pen and of course taking some pics as i do my morning garden walk! as of this next season coming i am going back to my past and all my pollinator gardens, helping Monarchs, swallowtails and spicebush butterflies by planting more
of their host plants. i will still grow some
of my favorite dahlias but on a small scale. i will also be selling A LOT of my tuber clumps of unicorns as i did this fall. will sell them as a whole clump! i will be sure they are labeled , have been confirmed and as viral free as i can. promise. i do cull any that are obvious. The gardens are beautiful right now. i just want to get away from using a lot of the products you have to use to keep a great dahlia garden and those products totally work against my pollinators. So i will grow a small dahlia garden using only the “good” such as molassas and beneficials! i will post a list of what i have this fall when i dig in case anyone may be interested in full clumps of specific dahlias. ❤️.
we also being in retirement and (older) want to travel, camp more, and not miss
a minute of this precious life we have been blessed with!
I feel like this change will also show the true gardener i have been for close to 50 years. and i plan to continue sharing. i hope you all will continue to follow! pollinators and organic gardening have always been my first love! One year a few years ago i helped to raise outdoors and release over 200 healthy monarchs. ❤️
