RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct crews on daily tasks and ensuring equipment is dispatched accordingly
Willingness to work in a safe matter in all aspects of each job; saw-cutting, excavation, compaction & final pavement restoration
Coordination with material suppliers for daily mix allocations
Supervise and cross-train individuals
Ability to adapt and work in various conditions and understanding requirements set forth by individual jurisdictions
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of field equipment
Operate equipment proficiently and with situational awareness
Willingness to collaborate and communicate with others
Complete job log sheets and daily submitting of crew time cards
Lead crews with an emphasis on safety and quality
Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
Ability to recognize inefficiencies and address them in the field
Ability to work weekends and occasional nights
Ability to travel to various worksites in Oregon and SW Washington
Ability to work long hours and in all weather conditions
Ensure each job is carried out with safety compliance standards set forth by OSHA and Kodiak Pacific Construction
QUALIFICATIONS
Asphalt Paving Experience: 3+ years
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Proficiency in construction/paving standards & equipment operation (rollers and screed)
Proficient in grading and ADA requirements
Leadership skills and teambuilding experience
Proficient in math and measurements

Process incoming mail and deliver outgoing mail to USPS and UPS
Organize documents
Filing
Clean and arrange office
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements

Kodiak Pacific Construction is seeking a qualified professional asphalt paving estimator with at least five years’ experience in estimating all types of paving projects; commercial and public.
Estimator will be responsible for managing projects start to finish, coordinating with Owners and Kodiak field supervision.
Salary and benefits shall be based on experience.
This is a full time salaried position for a company that values its’ employees, has competitive wages and excellent benefits.

We still need qualified help in our Paving division. If you have experience in asphalt paving, we need operators, dump truck driver and an estimator. We do anything from county roads to city streets to parking lots. We have a bunch of really good people right now and you may be the perfect fit to finish the puzzle.
