A lot of the progress behind this dream has his fingerprints all over it. ❤️ There’s something pretty attractive about a blue-collar husband who can build, fix, fabricate, paint, troubleshoot, and somehow keep turning my big ideas into something real.

I may be the one dreaming it up, but his skills are a huge part of why Mountain Meadow Floral Farm keeps moving forward. And yes… I still enjoy watching him work. 😏

This sunset has that stop what you’re doing and look at the sky kind of beauty. The way the light kept changing—from gold breaking through the clouds to that deep orange sinking into the Pacific—was absolutely mesmerizing.

Some evenings don’t need much explanation. Just waves, light, clouds, and a reminder to pay attention while the day quietly slips away.

One piece at a time. 🌲🪵

When we first looked at three huge piles of trees that needed to be bucked into firewood, the job felt almost insurmountable.

This weekend, we finished pile #2. 🙌

These were trees that were too small to mill into lumber, so instead they’re becoming firewood—and little by little, the cleanup is getting done.

We started with three piles. Now there’s only one left.

It’s a good reminder that the biggest projects don’t have to be finished all at once. You just keep showing up, cut the next log, move the next piece, and eventually you look around and realize just how far you’ve come.

And yes… Percy continues to provide essential supervision and moral support. 😂🐾

One pile to go.

Fall is coming quickly to the mountains, and soon the garden will begin its long winter sleep.

It’s always a little hard to say goodbye to the flowers, but some goodbyes aren’t forever. These beauties will rest beneath the snow and, before I know it, spring will bring them back to life again.

I don’t think I’ll ever stop being amazed by flowers—the intricate structure of every bloom, the incredible colors nature creates, and the tiny details you only notice when you stop long enough to really look. And watching the bees move from flower to flower, gathering pollen and completely absorbed in their work, might be one of my favorite things to witness in the garden.

So for now, I’ll enjoy every last bloom, every bee, and every beautiful moment… and patiently await their return. 🌸🐝

From an unsure little rescue pup behind the glass… to a relaxed, confident girl who knows she’s safe, loved, and home. ❤️ Watching Tally learn to trust and let her personality shine has been the sweetest transformation.
