If you or a neighbor need help getting your debris to the curb give us a call or send a message. We have been blessed and we are called to extend that blessing to our neighbors. If you have roof damage or siding needs we can help with that too.
CURBSIDE DEBRIS PICKUP
The City is preparing to solicit bids for contractors to pick up storm debris from the curb.
In preparation for this project, residents are urged to move debris to the curb (but not into the street) no later than Sunday, June 16. Debris moved to the curb later than that date may have to wait for a future round of curbside pickup. During this project, City contractors will NOT be able to pick up debris from private property (sorry, FEMA rules), so get as much debris to the curb as you can!
Debris must be separated into three different categories and will not be picked up if it is mixed (again, sorry, FEMA rules):
-Yard waste (limbs, trees, etc.)
-Construction/demolition debris
-Asphalt shingles
We understand that not everyone will be able to get their debris to the curb. After this initial round of curbside pickup, we will reassess remaining needs in the community.
The City’s Yard Waste Disposal site also remains open extended hours for residents to dispose of debris on their own.
Please stay tuned to the City of Sikeston page for the latest official information.
