We’re so excited to share the very first look at Storyteller, a whole-home remodel coming to life in Sonoma County for one of the most special families we’ve had the pleasure of designing for.

This mood board is just the beginning - think details, charm, and whimsy around every corner, including an indoor treehouse and a Catio for the most adorable felines.

Unsung Hero of Birds of a Feather: Wallpaper Perfection 🕊️

Every showcase room has its visible stars - but the true magic often lives in the details most guests may not notice. So today we are spotlighting Anthony Boynton of

A second-generation installer, Anthony isn’t just a tradesman, he’s an artist. We have worked with Anthony for years and he always listens carefully to our vision for the space and comes with solutions. In our Birds of a Feather En Suite for the , Anthony carefully mapped out the pattern placement before a single strip went up. The result? Seams so seamless, only the afternoon sun revealed them - and even then, they were so perfectly aligned. ✨

The House of Hackney crane print in this room was a stunner and Anthony’s precision made it sing - a full crane perched perfectly under the window, with the flock appearing to gather around the Iatesta sunburst mirror above the bed. That kind of thoughtful layout doesn’t happen by accident.

Thank you, Anthony, for your craftsmanship, your can-do attitude, and your flexibility in making this collaboration work. Projects like this are only as good as the hands that execute them and I’m so grateful to have had yours on this one!

This is the part of the job I never get tired of. Not the boards, not the spreadsheets - just standing in front of something beautiful and letting it remind you why texture and stillness matter in a room. A gentle reminder to take small moments of peace when offered.

✨BEFORE & AFTER: Birds of a Feather ✨

When we first stepped into this en suite for the 2026 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, we saw incredible potential hidden beneath a disconnected layout, awkward transitions, and dated finishes. Our goal was to create a warm, romantic retreat that could adapt to a variety of lifestyles - from a sophisticated teen to weekend guests, an au pair, or an in-law suite.

Key transformations:
🛠️ Leveled the bathroom floor and ceiling to create a seamless, zero-threshold shower experience
🛠️ Reconfigured the bathroom entry, replacing the view of the toilet with a beautiful art focal point
🪟 Added dramatic floor-to-ceiling drapery and lined the shades with blush to draw the eyes upward away from the neighboring home - as the light shifts throughout the day, a romantic glow fills the room
🎨 Reimagined the fireplace with a handcrafted plaster finish inspired by natural limestone, offering an elegant place for the eyes to rest against the bold wallpaper

The result is a serene, elevated en suite that honors the home’s Victorian character while supporting modern, multi-generational living.

As I reflect on Birds of a Feather, my heart is so full of gratitude.

What began as an empty room became a celebration of community, creativity, craftsmanship, and connection. This project reminded me that great design is never created alone - it is the result of many talented people coming together to build something meaningful.

Thank you to for the opportunity to participate in this incredible event and for welcoming me into such an inspiring community of designers and makers.

To , thank you for partnering with us on this project and helping bring Birds of a Feather to life. And to Dominic, thank you for believing in the vision. I truly appreciate your partnership.

To the artisans, vendors, tradespeople, and creative collaborators who contributed their talent, expertise, and countless hours to this room - thank you!! Every handcrafted detail tells the story of your work, and I am deeply grateful for each of you. ...you know what you did. Thank you for showing up for me when I needed it the most. I am forever thankful.

Honored to see Birds of a Feather featured by House Beautiful in their coverage of the San Francisco Decorator Showcase! A heartfelt thank you to and for the thoughtful article and for conveying the spirit of the space so eloquently.

Grateful to be included among such talented designers and to share this project rooted in craftsmanship, community, and connection.

For Andrea Halkovich of Sonoma Interiors, the 2026 San Francisco Decorators Showcase is her showhouse debut, an honor she has not taken lightly. Looking to her community in Sonoma County, many of the artisans and brands featured in Halkovich’s Birds of a Feather bedroom and En Suite bath are located in Sonoma. Particularly, the collaboration between Sonoma Interiors and Sandra Jordan Prima Alpaca, located in Healdsburg, makes the room sing—Jordan’s sumptuous Prima Alpaca fringed curtain panels puddle perfectly on the room’s wooden floors.

Halkovich’s jumping off point was just that - a focus on highlighting community. “This experience has felt like a modern-day Bauhaus: collaborative, energizing, and deeply inspiring,” she says. “I’ve been especially moved by how people have shown up. New relationships have formed, and old ones have grown stronger through the experience.”

A moment framed in stone.

The arched entry reveals a richly layered composition - gorgeous stone from , brought to life through the exceptional fabrication and installation by . The natural movement of the slab sets the tone, anchoring the space in quiet drama.

At the center, a striking floral arrangement by .design sits within an alabaster glass vessel by Sophie Lou Jacobsen, sourced through - a sculptural moment that softens the architecture.

The shower curtain, crafted by in sumptuous Ardecora jacquard velour from via , introduces texture and movement, while the bas-relief tone-on-tone checkerboard tile within the niche and the geometric floor tile by create a rhythmic, graphic counterpoint. Polished nickel plumbing fixtures by add a timeless layer of refinement.

Lime plaster by washes the walls in a soft, luminous finish, enhancing the depth and quiet elegance of the space.

This vanity—handcrafted by —anchors the space with character and warmth, its rich wood framing soft sage panels that feel both classic and fresh. Topped with stunning stone from and expertly fabricated and installed by , the surface becomes a canvas for daily rituals, complemented by taps by in polished nickel for a timeless appeal.

Underfoot, the graphic rhythm of floor tile by grounds the room, while delicate ceramic blooms by add a poetic, sculptural layer to the walls.

Lime Smooth plaster by —meticulously applied by —introduces depth and softness, drawing the eye upward to a ceiling clad in .
