We'll see how the last coat of lacquer dries; it might need a buff and one extra coat. Now it's on to the bench. This is a solid ash table, 81x36. The finish is ebony with an extra touch of black, and the low grain was touched with a torch to help darken it up. It has three sprayed coats of satin lacquer. It sits on a reproduction cast iron base that's finished in red with an antique look. The base comes from Drake Casting Company in Wilbraham, Massachusetts, and it comes complete with a matching bench sitting on cast iron legs. It will be on its way to a showroom soon. If you're interested, it can be sold before moving to the showroom. Message me with any questions.

I have this table in my shop nearing completion. It will get turned over today so the top can be finished. It’s 81x36 and made of ash. The deep grain gets charred with a torch and then sanded to leave the deep grain much darker. It’s then stained with extra dark ebony and finished with satin lacquer. The pictures above are after a fresh coat of lacquer, that’s why you see the wet look. It comes complete with a bench seat with matching cast iron feet. It’s up for sale before moving to a showroom in Columbus. If interested, send me a message.

Started working on this floating shelf today. Not that floating shelves are anything complicated but this one calls for curved corners. This shelf is made of 4 pieces of oak all cut and curved to complete the rounded corners. It will be stained black and finished satin.

Added some color and Lacquer.

Out door projects aren’t really my thing but maybe once a year so here’s the first half of 260ft of fencing. Don’t mind the music I forgot to shut the speaker off.

The Black Walnut project is complete. Everything was custom made in the shop using 8/4 rough stock. The contractor used special walnut stain with a clear satin finish. The homeowners have some painting and other color changes do complete that will help bring colors together on the steps.

I few pictures of a small project in the works. Everything is made of black walnut and all made in the shop. Every piece began as a rough cut 2 inch thick by 9-12 inch wide board. After a lot of shaping, planning and sanding each board was then used to craft each of these components. I’ll attach a few more pictures at the end of the week that shows the pivot door installed along with the fire place mantle.
