Tara Tried It: Cirque Colors Nail Polish

Ok, kids... this is a game-changer! If you lived through the 70s, you remember mood rings. "It turned red. Red says I'm supposed to be angry? I'm not angry!" It was just the color-changing that fascinated us...so much fun.

Flash forward to 2021. How would you like to try some mood nail polish?? Yes, the big word here is thermochromic. This means that when exposed to temperature, it will change color, just like a mood ring.

I love the concept, but does it really work? See for yourself. I tried Cirque Colors nail polish in the color Sol. Here is the product description from the company:

ABOUT:
Sol is a thermal nail polish that changes colors based on temperature. This polish changes to purple when cold and baby pink when warm. It features vibrant pink shimmer and delicate holographic sparkle. Notes: Thermal polishes dry to a matte finish. We recommend applying top coat for a glossy shine. Store product in a cool, dark place.

All you have to do is look at my pictures. I tested it on my pinky to make sure I liked it before committing to the other 9 fingers. When my hands were warm, the polish was pink. When my hands were cold, the polish was purple. AMAZING!!

If you look really close at the warm/pink nail, there's the cold/purple at the very tip, so I still had some cold left.

I love this stuff... time for a manicure and fully polished digits. And I will be getting more colors in the future. Bonuses are that it's vegan, hand-crafted, and cruelty free. The bottle says Made in USA.

🐶 As promised, an update on Ginger's dental health after a couple months using Petlab Co. Dental Formula.

Her breath is generally so much better! (Unless she's been munching on bugs or rabbit poop...you know dogs.) Plus her teeth were building up tartar before, and now they look whiter overall. There's still a little bit of tartar buildup very close to her gumline, but everything still looks great. I'm very happy with the results.

The best part is, all you do is add it to your pet's water. Since Ginger is only 5 lbs, I add 1/4 teaspoon to about 3/4 cup of water daily. It's supposed to be tasteless, so she hasn't been avoiding her water. She usually empties her bowl every day.

I always hated having my dogs put under anesthesia to get their teeth cleaned, so I'm hoping this will either eliminate the need for that, or at least lessen the number of cleanings over her lifetime. Saves me money on vet bills too! Ginger is 3 years old, so her teeth are still in great condition...let's keep it that way!

She does have itchy skin and seasonal allergies, so I'm trying Petlab Co's Probiotic Chews, which should help with immune support and allergies. She loves these...she will pick them out of her food and eat them first! Cookies!!

The new decaf flavors are out of this world too! I ordered the 6-pack bundle of those AGAIN (almost used all of them from my June order.) I didn't think I'd like Watermelon, but it's my fave, followed by Blackberry. They're all so good though, and being decaf and zero sugar, I can drink them with wild abandon!!

Plus most of their varieties brew in cold water. I just fill up my giant pink tumbler, throw a couple in with a bunch of ice and they're ready in 5 minutes. Tara is trying it! 🐶 With a rescue dog who was 2 yrs old when we got her, nobody had ever brushed her teeth, so how much fun would it be to start brushing them now? The answer to that is: NOT! So I found this stuff online that's supposed to improve dental health and keep teeth clean. It's a water additive with a very mild flavor so dogs still drink their water. Ginger's teeth are not bad, but I'd like to improve them and/or keep them in good condition. I'll keep you updated on how this works!
