❄️ Remembering the Winter Storm of February 2021 ❄️

In February 2021, Texas faced one of the most severe winter storms in decades. The record-breaking cold, snow, and ice brought life to a standstill across the state—causing power outages, water shortages, and massive disruptions to businesses and communities alike.

One of the many facilities affected was the Trane plant in Tyler, Texas, a major hub for HVAC manufacturing. The extreme conditions forced a temporary shutdown, affecting production schedules and supply chains nationwide. Even a powerhouse like Trane wasn’t immune to the storm’s reach.

It was a stark reminder of how weather can impact even the most prepared industries. But it also showed the resilience of our teams and communities—coming together, adapting, and rebuilding stronger than ever.

Here’s to moving forward with lessons learned and systems improved. 💪

🌡️🏠 Importance of Humidity Control in Your Home! 🌿💧

Hey friends! 👋🏼🏡 I wanted to take a moment to talk about something that often goes unnoticed but plays a crucial role in our overall comfort and well-being at home—humidity control! 🌬️💦

Did you know that maintaining the right humidity levels in your home is essential for various reasons? Let's dive in and explore why it's important to keep an eye on your indoor humidity levels:

1️⃣ Health and Comfort: Proper humidity control contributes to your overall health and comfort. High humidity levels can create a muggy and uncomfortable environment, making it harder to breathe and causing excessive sweating. On the other hand, low humidity can lead to dry skin, itchy eyes, and respiratory issues. Striking the right balance is key!

2️⃣ Protect Your Home: Maintaining optimal humidity levels can help protect your home and belongings. Excessive moisture in the air can lead to mold growth, which not only damages your property but also poses health risks. On the flip side, overly dry air can cause wood furniture, floors, and musical instruments to crack and warp. Finding the sweet spot helps preserve your investments!

3️⃣ Energy Efficiency: Did you know that controlling humidity can contribute to energy efficiency? When humidity levels are too high, your air conditioning system has to work harder to cool the air, resulting in increased energy consumption. Conversely, during the winter months, proper humidity levels can help you feel warmer without turning up the thermostat. By managing humidity, you can save energy and reduce utility bills!

So, how can you ensure proper humidity control at home? Here are a few tips:

🌡️ Use a Hygrometer: Invest in a hygrometer to measure the humidity levels in your home accurately. It will help you determine whether you need to increase or decrease humidity.

🔧 Ventilation: Proper ventilation, such as using exhaust fans in kitchens and bathrooms, can help remove excess moisture from the air.

🌿 Plants: Indoor plants act as natural humidifiers. They release moisture through transpiration, which can help balance humidity levels.

💧 Dehumidifiers and Humidifiers: Consider using dehumidifiers in damp areas or during humid seasons to remove excess moisture. In drier climates or during winter, humidifiers can add moisture to the air.

Remember, maintaining the right humidity levels in your home is a balancing act, and it may vary depending on the climate and personal preferences. So, pay attention to your indoor environment and take the necessary steps to ensure a comfortable and healthy living space!

Storms tonight could possible damage your ac and heating systems with power surges and spikes.

It is best to turn thermostat off during storm. Power surges can damage equipment very easily if unit is running.
