Our Story

Trufast Tree Service was started in May of 2017, although the real story started in December of 2016, or maybe even as I grew up in the country close to Camdenton, Missouri. We were probably almost hillbillies, and that meant we heated our home mainly by wood. As long as I remember, I was using a chainsaw and splitting wood by hand. About ten years ago, we moved to Springfield, after sojourning around the world and even marrying my wife, a Norwegian who I met in Bible school in the UK. And while I was in Norway, how could I help but work with a trained forester!

In December 2016, I launched a tree service company under a different name with a partner who had more experience with the tree business in the Springfield area. While the partnership didn’t end up working, and we closed that business, Linn and I ended up with an experienced crew of honest, incredible workers. Luke Smith, the foreman of the company was with us through the hard months from January to May, and has been the main reason why from the very beginning, we’ve taken great care of our customers. And he continues to provide a great experience for customer and crew alike.
