This is what my project house looked like when I first laid eyes on it last January. Didn't start work on it until June, after some idiot took the rehab material money and ran. So now I'm stuck doing the best I can with little cash. That's ok, cuz just wait until the end. FirstCongregational Ucc Springfield

Built by hand. Built to last. 🪵☀️

Store-bought outdoor furniture is often made of cheap materials that warp, crack, and fall apart after just one season in the Illinois weather.

We believe your backyard deserves better.

Leveraging over 15 years of woodworking experience, we handcraft custom outdoor furniture designed to handle the elements and look beautiful doing it. From heavy-duty cedar picnic tables and planters to custom benches and specialty concealment furniture, we build pieces that become the centerpiece of your outdoor living space.

Each piece is constructed with premium selected lumber, heavy-duty exterior fasteners, and finished to protect against moisture and UV rays.

Looking to upgrade your patio, deck, or yard with something truly custom? Let’s design something together. Send us a message today for a free estimate on your custom build!

Meet the man behind the tools. 🛠️🤝

When you hire AJ's Handyman Services LLC, you aren't dealing with a massive, faceless corporation or a national dispatch center. You are dealing directly with me—Adam.

I built this business from the ground up with nothing but hard work, grit, and a passion for craftsmanship. With over 20 years of hands-on experience and a 15-year background in woodworking (including an apprenticeship in antique furniture restoration), I treat every single home I walk into as if it were my own.

Whether it's a quick fixture swap, custom woodworking, or facility maintenance for commercial properties, my promise to you is simple: honest communication, fair pricing, and clean, professional work that stands the test of time.

I’m proud to serve the Springfield, Illinois community. Thank you to everyone who has supported AJs since we officially launched in November 2024. We are just getting started!

Tuesday Pro Tip: Don't call a plumber for a slow sink! 🪠❌

Before you spend hundreds on a service call, check your P-trap. That curved pipe under your sink is designed to hold a small amount of water to block sewer gases, but it’s also the #1 spot where hair, soap scum, and debris get stuck.

Here is how you can clear it yourself in 10 minutes:
1. Place a small bucket or towel directly under the curved pipe.
2. Unscrew the slip nuts on both ends of the curved section by hand (or use channel locks if they are tight).
3. Pull the pipe down, empty the gunk into your bucket, and rinse the pipe clean.
4. Put it back together, tighten the nuts, and run the water to check for leaks.

That's it! You just saved yourself a service fee.

But if you run into a main line clog that needs a heavy-duty sewer auger, or if you'd rather let a professional handle the messy stuff, we’ve got you covered. We keep our pricing straightforward and upfront.

Give us a call or shoot us a message if you need a hand!

Out with the old, in with the new! 🔨✨

There is nothing quite like the feeling of stepping onto brand-new flooring. Old, worn-out laminate can make a whole room feel tired, but a clean, modern luxury vinyl plank (LVP) installation completely transforms the space.

Whether you need a single room updated or your entire home refreshed, we handle the prep, the layout, and the clean-up so you don’t have to lift a finger. We take pride in clean lines, tight transitions, and floors that are built to handle daily life.

What room in your house is begging for a flooring upgrade? Drop a comment or send us a message to get your project on our schedule!
