Congratulations to students Tauqeer Hassan, Scott Cummings, Roman Dubchak, Filipp Dubchak, David Dubchak, and Ashley Rivest for being recognized last night at the annual Harold Grinspoon Foundation Initiative Award Ceremony & Banquet at the Log Cabin in Holyoke. The Dubchak brothers from , received a $1,500 Spirit Award for their home-based musical instrument repair business, Dubchak Artist Services. Cummings won a $600 Spirit Award for After Midnight Design, his silk-screening business, and Hassan won a $400 Spirit Award for his cell-phone accessory business, Tiqi Torch. Rivest represented HCC in the annual Elevator Pitch competition, cheered on by more than 60 of her classmates, teachers and friends as she impressed the crowd with her polished 90-second marketing presentation for the Scrub Buddy, a miniature robot that automatically cleans your bathroom.
