Our roan mare we raised and trained had a beautiful buckskin possibly roan c**t. We sold her last september, but we created this little fella and we couldnt be more smitten with what she produced!

We unfortunately dispersed our Nigerian Dwarf herd. We no longer have goats. We plan on moving forward with sheep in the future. We appreciate everyone understanding. We are excited for the switch. We can utilize sheep in many more ways. :)

❄️🐔 Winter Chicken Care: Keeping Your Flock Warm! 🐔❄️

Cold weather can be tough on your chickens, but with a few simple steps, you can keep your flock healthy and cozy all winter long!

1️⃣ Keep the Coop Draft-Free
Ensure windows and doors are secure, but don’t seal completely—chickens need ventilation to prevent moisture buildup. Use straw bales or tarps to block cold winds.

2️⃣ Provide Extra Bedding
Deep litter bedding (straw or wood shavings) acts as natural insulation. Add fresh layers regularly to keep it dry and warm.

3️⃣ Ensure Fresh, Unfrozen Water
Chickens need water daily, even in freezing temps. Use heated waterers or check several times a day to prevent ice.

4️⃣ Feed for Warmth
Offer extra high-energy feed, like cracked corn, to help them generate body heat. Treats like scratch grains can also keep them active and cozy.

5️⃣ Encourage Roosting
Chickens huddle together at night—provide enough roosting space off the cold floor. Keep perches dry and draft-free.

6️⃣ Optional: Heat Lamps (With Caution!) ONLY use if necessary and always safely—never leave unattended.

💡 Tip: Chickens are surprisingly hardy—they can handle cold if dry, fed, and protected from wind. Focus on insulation, nutrition, and hydration!

✨ Keep your flock happy and healthy this winter! ✨
