We live in a time when the earth is in urgent need of our care. Nobody is better equipped for that task than gardeners, farmers, and landscapers—people who tend it with their hands. As dirty fingernails and calluses can attest, caring for the earth is an intimate act. When you work in the garden, your attention is precious. There’s no more earnest offering to the health of earth and c

ommunity than bending over a flowerbed. At Seed and Sawdust, we want to live inside those moments. The slight gesture as you reach for a familiar tool, find it ready to hand, put it to skillful use. The inhale and exhale of doing the work you love with tools you trust. As you tend to your portion of the earth, know that what houses your tools has been made with the same care you bring to your own work. Our leather belts and protectors have been thoughtfully designed and handcrafted from the highest-quality materials to anticipate your movements and needs in the garden. Gentle on your tools, vegetable-tanned leather will patina over time to bear witness to your work. Exciting news! We are moving! Still in St. Louis, and I’m very excited about the increase in space. I’ve been mapping out a layout and will be rebuilding most all my work benches. The new shop will be set up for standing and will also grant me 360 degree access to my 8x4 layout/cutting table! Please bare with us as well close shop for a few weeks. We plan to be back up in mid April.
