Hard to believe onion 🧅 and broccoli 🥦 planting happened 6 weeks ago. It went surprisingly well and the weather was perfect. These people are my tribe and see my vision of Greathouse Garden in year 3. So thankful for their willingness to help! Farming takes a village. 👩‍🌾👩‍🌾
A flood happened last week, but lasted less than 24 hours. Thankfully minimal damage was done. Much different spring than last year.

Incredibly honored to be chosen as a grant recipient by !
This season had had a steep learning curve, and so I'm grateful to end the season well and feeling reinvigorated for Greathouse Garden to make infrastructure improvements in 2024.
I'm thankful that the funders have seen my vision and plan to grow great food for STL and see the need for a cooler for my harvest.
YALL..I'm speechless that this project was one of the 5% awarded (1522 applicants and 85 selected)!
Thank you to everyone who has helped get me to this point. Without your help planting harvesting, w**ding, this food wouldn't be possible, and thus, this would be a dream instead of a reality.

Get squash hummus in your belly!

Honey Nut

You may remember this aromatic and silky hummus from last Autumn season, but if not, you're in for a treat! (no tricks!!) 😋

Roasted Honey Nut, Delicata, and Long Island Cheese Squash make this a pleasantly sweet hummus, highlighted with fresh rosemary, and melted sweet onions, and garlic. A little sage and thyme atop, because .... WINTER SQUASH SEASON!

Quantities are limited so hustle on out to the farmers markets and seize the squash!

Cipollini is sold out. Tropea is low stock, but most other varieties we have plenty of.

Y'all, YALL!! Community is so beautiful. I put out a plea for help to w**d my squash field. In 4 hours, we got a third of it w**ded with these fine people here! We processed about 2k pounds of onions this weekend too!
Folks donated to provide food and drinks. People checked in on me afterwards to see how the day went and want to help in the future. Wow, I'm speechless!
Many hands make light(er) 😆 work! I'm so blessed, humbled and honored to have these beautiful humans doing life with me on the farm!

The first variety (Candy) of onions have been harvested!
The storm was rolling in quick, but we managed to do this in an hour with 3 of us.
The rack system worked well to harvest and move quickly.
A lot of pent of energy has gone into this moment. A lot of questioning, will it work?
Thankful. Grateful. Ready for more!
