OMG, I miss you! I miss my quirky lil community, I miss helping you, I miss fixing things and seeing tangible positive changes every day. If I'm seeming quiet or have been slow to get back to you, I'm sorry. Frankly, losing my ability to do what I love hit hard, I'm fighting my way out of a depressive episode and world affairs changing from Sharknado 2 to Sharknado 4 ain't helping. Also not helping is my funds dwindling* while I try to figure out how to get a job (if you don't know, I started this business after struggling to write a resume 6yrs ago, I am that ADHD person).
SO! As of this week I'm offering:
For a suggested $25/$25/hr and/or GWYC I want to help in the ways I still can.
If you need help troubleshooting, estimating, measuring, planning, or even just need a confidence boost, text me. I'm happy to come help assess and guide; I cannot do ANY physical labor, but I can help you figure out what's wrong, what kind of contractor to call, whether or not you can handle the repair yourself, what tools or materials you need (and where to source), I can provide technical support and guidance as well as emotional support (because you CAN DO THIS!!!).

Random tip:
Around daylight savings when you're changing your clocks and your smoke detector batteries.. go ahead and also turn your water shut-offs off and back on again (gas too if applicable, but please.. be careful, if your systems are older you may have to re-light pilot lights after shutting gas off. If you aren't comfortable, ask for help or leave it gas=black pipes alone). This will help keep valves in working order and eliminate build up.

I can't tell you the number of times I'd go to do a 'easy' plumbing repair/replacement just to find the local shut-offs were useless or didn't completely stop the flow (and worse, sometimes they start leaking if they get used for the first time in years especially if low quality to begin with. Also, a stuck valve is an easy way break the handle off the valve, but rest easy, they needed to be replaced anyway 🙃.) Sometimes there's a back up shut-off in the basement; often enough around STL the only shut-off is the main shut-off outside in your boulevard (which requires a special tool called a water key that you don't have, but can rent or hire a plumber). Local water line shut-offs can be fairly easy to replace if you're handy but having 2 replaced by a professional plumber can cost ~$500... so just keep the ones you have working.
Remember the first "R" is REDUCE for a reason.
Reduce (waste overall),
Reuse (what you can),
Recycle (as much as you can of what's left AFTER determining it cannot be fixed or reused).

Dearest Lovelies,

I'm sorry to have to let you all know that I am injured. I am unable to perform nearly any of this work. Therefore, I am not accepting any offers of work.

I am hoping for a complete recovery, and if I can do this type of work again, I will let you know when I'm back at it!

In the meantime, please know that I miss working for you and am doing what I can to get back as soon as possible.

Stay tuned for a sappy update about how much the last 5yrs has meant to me as well as other info and tips you might want or need.

TIME FOR A F**K IT FUNDRAISER!!!
We just saw TOO MANY people out in the cold shivering. Passed out the all hot hands we had in the truck and have to run to the store get more.
So f**k it, we're fundraising so we can do MORE. We'll be out and about the next few days working and we pledge to hand out as many hot hands as we can to as many people in need as we see. We would love to be able to also stock little libraries, food pantries and other mutual aid stations in areas they are most needed.
