Congrats to my clients and collaborators on this huge win!

And congrats to our Design Awards team! We pulled off another showstopping event this year. AIA DA is one of my favorite events each year. I love getting to reconnect with so many incredibly talented and lovely colleagues across the city and region. We’re so lucky here. I’m so proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish as a co-chair these past 4 years alongside Allison and Chrissy. I’ll miss this role but I’m excited for Chrissy and Lalima to take the reins!

Residential projects are so vastly different from commercial work. I’m asked about this often - which I prefer. It’s a hard question to answer and I love them both but the short answer is there is something unique and special about working on someone’s home. It requires a level of trust and care that resonates with me and makes this job soulful and life-changing in a way other work is not. I’ve had the great pleasure of working with this couple twice on their lovely U City home and I would do it all again! Thank you for your kind words, B and A! 🤍

So much love are care went into this project. It’s incredible to finally see it realized and living in our city. I love when old friends or new acquaintances recognize it in the neighborhood and reach out. This experience has brought new connections, special friendships, and new projects. It’s amazing how this happy practice can build such a strong community.

Our city-dwelling owners wanted a secluded and dreamy garden layering light, green space, and architecture. At this perfect hour the sun brightly illuminates the planting beds to the north in dazzling contrast with the shaded elevation beyond.

A custom vanity with natural marble top and floor tile pairs against a soft white wall tile and wainscoting in our Mt. Baker Bath.🍃

Our absolutely outstanding contractor executed precision tile and woodworking details that elevate this hall bath to a thing of beauty within an already stunning classic PNW craftsman home.

Once again, I had the pleasure of working with lovely clients that brighten my day each time we talk. We’re already wrapping up project #2 with #3 starting soon!
