Every Spring and Fall we volunteer with Trash For Trees to plant native trees and shrubs for St. Louis City residents. The program focuses on picking up trash in city neighborhoods, and then working with collaborative partners to plant trees. This group can be found on Facebook, where they communicate with neighborhoods and residents to coordinate their efforts. You can get involved by checking out their page or website.

Join in for a webinar presented by Landscape Designer, Allegra Pierce. THIS Wednesday March 25th at 2:00 pm. Part of the Partners for Native Landscaping Virtual Program hosted by The St. Louis County Library

Installing a new garden on a slope presents several challenges, including erosion, root stabilization, and accessibility. Front yards offer the greatest opportunity for native plant education and outreach, yet they are often sloped. In this webinar, learn new strategies to make gardening on a hillside not only possible, but attractive and long-lasting.

Here is our shop! We work out of a small house in South City. We’re not open to the public, so we’re sharing this with you here. This is our home base. We knew we needed to transform the front landscape from lawn to a vibrant native seeded garden. We have since added a rain garden, a curving retaining wall, and a small patio. Seeded in early 2025, these were the results. We’re excited to watch the evolution of our small-scale, city front yard trial seeded landscape from our window. Stay tuned for updates!
