DeGeorge Garden Design (www.dgdvt.com) is looking for enthusiastic gardeners to join our established team for the 2026 season (late April through mid-November).

We specialize in the design, installation, and maintenance of stunning, ecologically minded gardens and take pride in our reputation for excellence.

What We Are Looking For:
Our ideal candidate is a reliable team player who enjoys being outdoors and has a keen eye for detail. We value:

-A Positive Attitude: A strong work ethic, a sense of humor, and a desire to learn.

-Team Synergy: Great communication, active listening, and the ability to follow instructions with ease.

-Resilience: The ability to adapt to varying Vermont weather and temperatures (proper outdoor gear is a must!).

Experience (Preferred but not required):

-Familiarity with ornamental and organic gardening practices.

-Knowledge of Northern-hardy trees, shrubs, perennials, and edibles.

-Comfort using gardening tools and hand-pruning techniques.

The Role Involves:

-Fine Gardening: Weeding, edging, mulching, pruning, deadheading, and soil amending.

-Installation Support: Raking, grading, digging, and moving soil or potted plants.

-Physical Activity: Ability to lift bags of compost and maneuver wheelbarrows.

DeGeorge Garden Design is looking to hire additional staff members to join our established gardening team for the 2025 season, which runs from now through mid-November. For over 15 years, we have been dedicated to beautifying residential and civic landscapes throughout Central Vermont. We design, install, and maintain stunning gardens and are known for our high attention to detail.

Our ideal candidate has:
-a strong work ethic
-a sense of humor
-a desire to learn
-the ability to work well in groups
-high attention to detail
-great communication skills
-good listening skills
-the ability to follow instructions
-the ability to adapt to working in a variety of weather conditions
-the right outdoor clothes and footwear for the varying Vermont weather

Ideally (though not necessary), you have experience with:
-Ornamental and organic gardening practices
a knowledge of Northern hardy trees, shrubs, perennials and edibles
-Gardening tools
-Hand pruning techniques

Daily tasks include:
-weeding
-edging
-mulching
-pruning
-deadheading
-feeding/ soil amending
-pulling and pushing wheelbarrows

Site prep for installations includes:
-raking
-grading
-hole digging
-soil moving
-carrying potted plants to the prepared site
-lifting bags of compost or organic soil amendments
