For a couple of weeks our Caygu duck was missing.. Today we found her sitting on a nest under the duck house.

We switched out her eggs (most likely mallard/Caygu mix) with 3 of our welsh harlequin eggs that were due to hatch tomorrow to test her mothering skills. Her eggs went into the incubator with the rest of the welsh eggs.

I didn’t read anywhere that Caygu laid in clutches 😅

Any name suggestions to our newest additions?🪿🪿Fingers crossed 🤞 they keep the brooder cleaner than the ducks.
