Ginny and I aren’t sure what’s worse, the mud at the duck blind or this snow in the woods. Either way we’re both gonna sleep well tonight.

Gin dog spent some time in the woods this afternoon doing some mainline repairs from a fallen tree.
Sugaring is coming and we’ve still got a lot of work to do.
She was nice and warm in her Versavest, even though the temperature was only about 12 degrees!

With a vision and a can do attitude, the possibilities are endless.

Some odds and ends left in Enosburgh, but things are winding down with flooring and tops in the kitchen next week.

Back to school tomorrow for me!

The homeowner did a great job building the frame and installing the boards on this deck but when it came to the stairs and fascia he was a little hesitant to tackle them.
We ran into each other at the hardware store and he asked if I could help and I was happy to have another opportunity to continue honing my skills with
I did some simple end caps on the main carrying beam along with corner wraps and dividers on the fascia boards and these awesome stairs with integrated lighting.
The fascia lighting they purchased wasn’t going to work well so they’re going to find a better option for those.
If you notice the screws not being plugged, the homeowner is going to finish screwing things off and plugging holes as that’s super time consuming and they’re more than capable!

The more I do outdoor living spaces the more I’m getting into them.
I’m also having serious thoughts about my future workload and the fact that both of my coworkers are in their 70’s.
Decks hold many elements of construction with the main one being the finishing touches and endless possibilities for architectural details while still being something I can wrap my arms around in a reasonable amount of time along with having limited intrusion into the customers daily lives.
I know, heavy thoughts for a Thursday evening!

If you see some holes still in the fascia board that’s because the homeowner is plugging away at the plugs. (Pun intended)

Before and after photos from a large renovation we’ve been plugging away at since February. There’s also a beautiful new bathroom on the 2nd floor I didn’t get any pictures of.
The next phase is the first floor bathroom and the kitchen!
We really love the challenges of these design builds with the quirks and obstacles along the way.
Cool thing about this house is its completely electric and has its own solar panels that produce enough power for their yearly needs!
