April 16, 2026 was a day filled with joy.
The Magnolia Garden Club extends heartfelt thanks to Jean Ann for planning and organizing such a lovely outing.

We enjoyed our visit to the Birmingham Botanical Garden and a delicious meal at Olexia’s—truly a wonderful day together. We missed those who were unable to join us.

It has been a year full of fun, friendship, and learning. We look forward to gathering again in September.

What a wonderful March meeting with a wonderful Presentation by Lydia Banks Davis!

Lydia did an amazing job presenting about Alabama Butterflies! Thank you Lydia for taking the time to put together this wonderful meeting. We hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed this day!

Our October meeting was held at the Farnsworth farm in Clay County. David shared the history of the farmhouse that was built in 1885 and the accomplishments of several individuals who grew up on the property. We learned about Alabama's State tree, the Longleaf Pine, and the restoration efforts taking place on this farm and throughout the Southeastern United States. The day concluded with a beautiful view of their 4 year old Longleaf Pine plantation, framed by the surrounding mountains. Thank you to Jan and David for taking the time to show us your beautiful farm!

What a wonderful day getting to have our meeting at the SAFE Garden here in Sylacauga! We were able to tour the Garden and even have a taste of the incredible produce grown here. If you have not had a chance to experience this in person, we highly recommend it. This organization does so much for our community and we were so thankful they took the time to share with us what goes into making this project come to life. A huge thank you to Margaret Morton and Mackenzie McKinney for all you do for SAFE and for taking the time out of your busy schedules to speak with us and show us the most wonderful day!

Our first stop for our April meeting was the Botanic in Auburn, Alabama. We had the most wonderful lunch while taking in the breathtaking scenery. From shopping to the most delicious lunch, we headed over to the James Cameron House Bed and Breakfast to have a private tour with the wonderful owner, Stella. Stella told us the history of their home as well as showing all the beautiful details that make staying here a must! As soon as you step inside, you feel the love and passion put into this stunning home. If you are ever looking for the most relaxing and beautiful place to stay on your next get away, give the James Cameron House in Auburn a call!

We made it to the 2025 Tulip Festival at the American Village and it was absolutely beautiful! If you have not had the opportunity to visit the American Village in Montevallo, AL it is a must. We were able to tour the identical replication of the Oval Office, stop at the Tavern for a wonderful lunch, the incredibly moving Veteran’s building and so much more that you will see in our pictures! Looking forward to returning.
