Take a closer look at the details behind this exterior restoration!

This project involved replacing approximately 4 feet of rotted wood at the top of the chimney, along with all deteriorated trim and siding surrounding the chimney chase. We also replaced damaged siding on the rear elevation of the home to restore a clean, uniform appearance.

These close-up before and after photos show the difference quality carpentry repairs make. Not just in appearance, but in protecting the home from future moisture intrusion and deterioration.

Proper preparation and repairs are the foundation of a lasting exterior. In this case, replacing the failed materials ensured the home was ready for its next chapter and will continue to perform for years to come.

Before thinking about touch-ups or repainting, give your walls a simple clean. You’d be surprised how much dust, residue, and scuff marks build up over time, especially in high-traffic areas. A soft cloth, mild soap, and warm water can often bring walls back to life and restore color without any paint at all.

Bonus: if you do plan to paint later, starting with a clean surface helps paint adhere better and last longer.
