Out of sight does not mean out of trouble. 😬 A lot of tree problems start below the surface, and by the time the canopy shows stress, the roots may already be struggling. Roots are what anchor the tree, take in water, and pull nutrients from the soil to keep everything above ground strong and stable.
Fun fact: most tree roots grow outward, not deep, often spreading 2–3x wider than the canopy. So in order to keep your tree healthy up top, you have to protect what’s happening below.
