It started on a trip to Florence.
A chance stop at a watercolor stand, where we met an artist painting poppies in the afternoon light. We bought one on a whim, not realizing we’d spend the next three days searching for him again after he’d vanished from his usual spot.
When we finally turned the corner and saw him again, we couldn’t help but cheer, “it’s you!” Bags were quickly filled with the sweetest pieces, each one capturing the warmth and movement of that day.
Just like most of our finds, the frames came later. Discovered at a small preview event at Chislers in Tampa. The perfect pairing: subtle differences, quietly refined, yet feeling collected over time. Almost as if we’d been searching for each one individually; just like those Florentine watercolors.
