⭐️⭐️ Please support Katie Olliver Haas ~ Let’s surround her with love and healing ⭐️⭐️

If you know our Katie, you have felt the warmth of her presence. Her laugh. Her joy. Her steadfast faith. Her love.

She is a sister, a dear friend, a devoted mother of five and grandmother of seven. And now, she is bravely walking through another chapter of overcoming cancer.

Katie is hopeful. She is trusting God completely for healing. And she is facing what’s ahead with courage that is humbling.

Katie’s cancer story began in May 2022 with a diagnosis of oral cancer. What followed were lower right teeth extractions, chemotherapy, radiation and multiple surgeries over three years.

In June 2025, her PET scan showed NED — No Evidence of Disease. We all rejoiced!

Six months later, after numerous bouts of oral infections, abscesses of the jaw, and hospital stays, Katie was diagnosed with Osteoradionecrosis - a painful delayed complication of radiation.

A Mandibulectomy with temporary titanium plate replacement was performed on January 22nd followed by a lengthy hospital stay. Her doctors and nurses were spectacular!

A bone pathology analyzed by the Mayo clinic shows High Osteoblastic Osteosarcoma cancer of the jaw. This recent news is devastating yet Katie continues to be positive with her faith, family and friends keeping her strong!

Now Katie must undergo a complex Free Flap Reconstruction — a complete jaw replacement using bone, blood vessels and tissue from her left leg. This intricate surgery will require a team of surgeons and dentists. Her hospital stay is expected to be 7–14 days, followed by inpatient rehabilitation and six months of speech, occupational and physical therapy.

Katie is retired and living on a very modest income. The mounting medical, dental, rehabilitation and living expenses are more than she can shoulder alone.
