I’ve seen a lot of messages about poor cell phone service and I know how important it is to stay in touch.

If you have an iPhone and your home internet isn’t working, your phone may still be trying to connect to WiFi — even though it’s not actually working.

That can cause:
• Text messages not sending
• Messages coming in late
• Poor phone service

Turning OFF WiFi on your iPhone can really help, especially for sending and receiving texts.

Important:
You may need to do this daily, because iPhones automatically turn WiFi back on by themselves.

How to turn OFF WiFi on an iPhone:
1. Open Settings
2. Tap Wi-Fi
3. At the top, switch Wi-Fi OFF (the button should turn gray)

That’s it!

Your phone will now use cell service only, which usually works much better when internet is down.

If your texts suddenly start working again — this is why.
