Here’s a more compassionate, deeply heartfelt version:
There are moments in life when even the smallest act of kindness can mean everything—and George Handyman gave our family one of those moments we will never forget.
My mom is currently in hospice, and our family is doing everything we can to care for her. It’s overwhelming, emotional, and exhausting in ways that are hard to put into words. In the middle of all of that, something in our home needed repair, and we honestly didn’t know how we were going to manage one more thing.
Jay and Jay showed up right when we needed them—at the same time as my mom’s hospice nurse. They were calm, respectful, and incredibly understanding of what was happening in our home. They quickly figured out the issue and fixed it without adding any stress to an already heavy moment.
But what truly touched our hearts is what happened next. After finishing the work, they told us there would be no charge. That level of kindness and compassion is something you don’t come across often. They didn’t just fix a problem in our home—they gave our family a moment of relief, of being seen, of being cared for.
They drove all the way from Tipp City to Union, and in one of the most painful and vulnerable seasons of our lives, they showed up not just as professionals, but as genuinely good people.
George Handyman is more than a service—they are people who lead with empathy, compassion, and heart. I will forever be grateful, and I cannot recommend them enough.
