A Labor of Love for an LVAD Warrior 🤍✨

Now that they have all been safely gifted, I can finally share a project that is incredibly close to my heart. These are 8 special memory quilts ordered and created in honor of Mike, an absolute warrior who lived with an LVAD.

Mike was truly one of the world’s best guys—quiet, steady, and always there to do whatever needed to be done. His family is the kind that picks you instead of blood, and he was a huge, irreplaceable part of my childhood.

The center of each quilt is made directly from the vests his sister lovingly made for him to carry his LVAD equipment. Combined with his love for blue, Disney, and a custom heart-quilted pattern, these blankets are woven with so much history and strength.

My prayer is that whenever his family wraps themselves in these quilts, they feel entirely wrapped in comfort, memories, and God’s love.

Thank you to his wife for trusting me with his memory. It was the ultimate honor. 🧵✨

The Stash Just Got A Major Upgrade! 🛍️✨🧵

There is nothing quite like bringing home a fresh stack of high-quality fabrics. Last month, I went shop hopping through some wonderful local quilt shops, and my cutting table is looking extra beautiful today!

When it comes to creating pieces that last for generations, the foundation matters. I love supporting small business quilt shops because they curate the absolute best premium cottons, unique custom prints, and ultra-cozy plush backings.

I’m completely smitten with the variety from this trip! I’ve got incredibly soft plush winter prints, a bright corn pattern for a pop of summer, and a fabric featuring our very own Indiana town names like Tipton, Clarksville, and Batesville. Every piece was hand-picked with quality and comfort in mind.
