🌿 Explore and Discover Local Wildlife
Join us in person on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park for a fun and educational morning focused on Texas wildlife.

Visit booths hosted by professional naturalists to learn about local species, play games, and win prizes. Volunteers will be available to answer questions, help identify observations, and provide guidance on using iNaturalist.
This free event does not require registration. Participants are encouraged to explore the recreation campus or take a walk through the nearby George Mitchell Nature Preserve.

🌱 Volunteers Wanted – Help Us Grow Something Bigger 🌱

Green Thumb Collective was founded by volunteers, for the community.

Since 2024, our founder Andrew started this journey as a volunteer with a simple goal: bring people together through plants, kindness, and community. What began as a small local gardening group has grown into Green Thumb Collective, hosting Plant Bingo™, plant swaps, coffee meetups, youth entrepreneur opportunities, and community events across Texas.

But the truth is, we need help.

Like many nonprofits, we rely heavily on volunteers to keep things moving forward. While Green Thumb continues to grow, Andrew works full-time as an out-of-state truck driver, balancing long hours on the road, family life, and the day-to-day responsibilities of running a community organization behind the scenes.

We're looking for dedicated volunteers who want to make a real impact behind the scenes by helping with tasks such as:

🌿 Researching locations for future community gardens
📞 Reaching out to volunteers and event participants
📱 Creating social media content and posts
📍 Helping identify new Plant Bingo™ locations throughout Texas
🤝 Building relationships with businesses and community partners
📧 Assisting with communications and organizational tasks
🎉 Supporting event planning and operations

You don't need to be a plant expert. You simply need a heart for community and a willingness to help.

Whether you can volunteer one hour a month or several hours each week, every contribution helps us create more opportunities for connection, education, wellness, and community growth.
