New bathroom reno underway.

Little bathroom but lots of prep work. The shower and toilet is getting flipped from its original location. Of course the toilet fl**ge fell on a floor joint. Rough plumbing is just about complete. I had to restructure the floor after cutting a floor joist. Rapid recess brackets are installed for barrier free “curbless” shower design. Progress.

Update: The range hood that I designed and built fit perfectly. It still needs to be finished. I will do another video covering some other things I want to talk about with the design and build that I think is interesting.

Finishing a project always feels rewarding, especially when I build it. Cabinets by C&C Cabinetry South. Quartzite countertops by Stone N Counters South. Black walnut floating shelves were created by Citta Woodcraft & Sawmill.

Turned another bathroom into a bright new refreshing space. Horizontal picket tiles with champagne bronze fixtures. There is a pocket door with a nice little Emtec locking mechanism hiding to close off the shower area. And as always, the shower is prepped with Schluter Systems, the floor is prepped and poured with Laticrete NXT Level Plus and topped with Schluter Ditra uncoupling membrane. Glass door installed by Twin City Glass in Toms River

Prepping out another one. Crooked, bowed walls, and uneven floors. It’s how I like them really. Good, bad, or indifferent, the procedure is all the same. In the end, it will be flat and or level. Almost ready for tile.

This bathroom features 24x48” wall tiles, floating stone shower bench, 59” linear drain, floating 48” vanity, Kohler fixtures and Emtek door hardware. This was an extremely fun bathroom to build.
