Day 8 of summer school. Rain, sunshine, splash pad, visor making craft, tasting survival tabs and talking about survival necessities and lots of fun had by all! These kids are so fun! We hope everyone is having as much fun as we are in summer camp!

Day 7 of summer camp and what a day it was! The rain and thunder forced us into the treehouse for about 30 minutes this morning but then it didn’t really rain after that! We did farm chores, talked about maps and reading maps and how to use a compass. Everyone got their own compass and we took them up front to find north! Then the kids built shelters from pieces of wood, sticks and leaves! They even built a shelter with an old pool and cinder blocks. Very creative! Then they went to the treehouse and used things to build forts up there! Love their imagination and teamwork! Kids are amazing!

Ok school families! Sharing some of our curriculum for this coming school year!

If you watched my video the other day I spoke on this a little bit, this is our little house on the praire curriculum that will also be paired with our full curriculum options for the parents that chose that. Everyone, including kids that are not doing full curriculum with us will get to be involved with these classes!

I’m super pumped about this, I’ve already wrote the curriculum up and will be putting it in a calendar so I can pass it to the parents for each month ( the series will be read one book per month) but it’s full of so many fun things! Each day will be different classes and part of the rotations and then the afternoon classes. Super excited for this coming school year as our friends joining us will be learning so much! Summer camp day 6! This week we are talking about survival skills so we brought out an emergency preparedness pack and went through the different things in it discussing how we could use them in a survival situation. We wrapped up in the emergency blanket and felt our body heat reflecting, talked about paracord and its uses, looked at different tools to use and tried freeze dried food! We played hard today, some of them dunked (literally) themselves with water to cool off and others just had some mist. Ready for more fun tomorrow!

Parents night out officially posted!!!

We have 2 events now posted over the next two weekends! This coming weekend is summer Saturdays and the following is parents night out! Parents night out is a drop off event for parents to bring their kids, drop them off and go have a date night or whatever you need to do while your kids have fun! We will provide pizza and ice cream and have fun games to play! Water play will be involved so bring a change of clothes!

In order to be involved in parents night out the child needs to be fully potty trained!

The cost is $25 per child with $5 off for siblings.

Hours are 4pm-8pm.

Pre payment is required for this event and is non refundable because we will be purchasing food and materials per the head count. Limited spots available!

Our first summer Saturday date is ready for sign ups!

To sign up, you need to comment how many kids and which class you want, I will close the spots when we are full! We will have water play so they are welcome to come in a swimsuit but need close toed shoes to see the animals!

Day 4 of summer camp was a blast! For a nature craft today we made cyanotype paper art. It uses the sun to solar activate the prints onto the paper! It was a fun process to watch. We did farm chores, played with friends and played at the treehouse. It was another beautiful day this week!

Day 3 in the books and it was a fun one! A beautiful day, bug masks, scavenger hunts and we put our onion tops in the dehydrator to make onion powder! Popsicles and sweet summer fun!
